Empoli midfielder Jacopo Fazzini underwent his Fiorentina medical today, ready to complete the deal worth €10m plus bonuses, while Stefano Pioli officially leaves Al-Nassr.
As Football Italia’s own Alfredo Pedullà had reported last week, the agreement was reached between the two clubs for the talented midfielder.
The full cost of the operation is expected to be a €10m fixed fee plus add-ons.

Fiorentina confirmed the news by publishing photographs of the player attending his medical at the Viola Park centre.
The 22-year-old had been participating in the European Under-21 Championship with Italy.
Fiorentina will welcome new coach Pioli

Officially, the team is currently without a coach after Raffaele Palladino resigned, but Pioli agreed terms weeks ago and simply had to first extricate himself from his contract with Al-Nassr.
That was made official with a statement from the Saudi Pro League side earlier today.
“Al Nassr Club Company informs that Mr Pioli and his Staff are no more the acting coaching staff of the first team. We would like to thank Mr Pioli and his staff for their dedicated work during the past season.”

Quite a steal from Fiorentina, and as usual, Rubentus is lurking in the shadow waiting to steal him away once he flourishes.
