Milan have shaken hands with Genoa to hand over Lorenzo Colombo on loan with an option to buy, becoming an obligation if conditions are met, at a cost of €10m.

According to Calciomercato.com’s Milan correspondent Daniele Longo, the clubs are already exchanging documentation and the striker is flying back from their pre-season tour to undergo a medical.

The negotiations had been at an advanced stage and were completed this afternoon.

It is going to be a paid loan with option to buy for a total of €10m.

This becomes an obligation if Genoa manage to secure their Serie A status at the end of the season.

The 23-year-old had also been linked with Parma over the last few weeks, but Genoa came out on top with a deal.

Colombo is a product of the Milan youth academy who has been on a series of loan experiences since 2021 for Cremonese, SPAL, Lecce, Monza and most recently Empoli.

That had been his most prolific top flight campaign with six goals in 37 Serie A appearances, but was not enough to prevent Empoli’s relegation.
