Hellas Verona could provide Venezia defender Fali Candé a second chance at Serie A football following his side’s relegation at the end of the 2024-25 season, Football Italia understands.

Verona are actively seeking a new centre-back for the start of the 2024-25 season, and their search has led them in the direction of Venezia and Candé.
The 27-year-old made 17 Serie A appearances in the second half of the 2024-25 season following his €2m move from Ligue 2 side Metz.
Despite finishing in 19th place with Venezia, confirming their relegation back to Serie B after one season in the top flight, Candé could be set for another crack in Serie A.
The 29-time Guinea Bissau international is a player that Verona likes a lot.
On Tuesday, Verona opened talks with Venezia in an attempt to find a swift agreement for the transfer of the central defender, who is also capable of covering at full-back.
