Enzo Maresca is delighted with Chelsea’s season but reveals the first thing he’ll do after their Club World Cup victory is to return to Italy for holidays.

Maresca’s Chelsea became the first-ever team to win the FIFA Club World Cup beating 2025 Champions League winners 3-0 on Sunday.

The Italian tactician spoke to Sportitalia on Sunday.

Maresca was sacked after just 14 games at Parma in 2021, when the Ducali were playing in Serie B.

It was his first managerial appointment for a professional club after working as Manchester City U23 coach, West Ham’s assistant manager and Sevilla’s technical coach.

A former Serie A midfielder for Juventus, Bologna, Piacenza, Fiorentina, Sampdoria and Palermo, Maresca revealed the first thing he’d do after leading Chelsea to their latest trophy.

“Go on holiday from tomorrow [today], for three weeks in Italy,” he concluded.

Maresca had won the Conference League in 2024-25 making Chelsea the first club to win all four major European trophies, all with Italian tacticians in charge.
