Inter President Beppe Marotta insists that the club is ‘strong’ and that they will be able to ‘overcome this unexpected and difficult moment’ following the 5-0 hammering by Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final and the subsequent departure of head coach Simone Inzaghi.
Inter were beaten 5-0 by PSG in the final of the Champions League on Saturday night, the heaviest ever defeat in a European Cup final.
Then, just three days later, the club confirmed that Inzaghi had left his position as head coach via mutual agreement. The 49-year-old is now expected to take over as head coach of Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.

The situation leaves Inter looking for a new head coach, with the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup fast approaching, kicking off on June 14.
Cesc Fabregas has been tipped as the first-choice option for the Nerazzurri to replace Inzaghi, but Como insist that they are confident the Spaniard will continue in his current project.
What Marotta said about Inter on Wednesday
While certain Nerazzurri executives are in London to work on potential deals, Marotta was on home soil on Wednesday, in attendance for the funeral of former club President Ernesto Pellegrini.
Marotta did not directly speak about Inter’s ongoing advances for Fabregas, nor their search for a new head coach generally, but provided assurances that the club are in a stable position and that they will be able to ‘overcome’ a difficult last week.

“We’re a strong Inter. We will be able to overcome this unexpected and difficult moment, which, however, does not scare us,” Marotta said, via TMW.
“We work for the good of Inter, and we will always do that with passion, determination and a sense of belonging that we have always shown in recent years.”

i trust him! he has both eyes firmly on the ball!
After Conte & Fabregas staying, Lord Hexagon signing with Milan, who’s next? Palladino?
Getting humbled 5-0 & a very amateurish performance are not strong at all. And as long as that Acerbi guy stays & acts like “a leader on-and-off the pitch”, that’s it for me as interista. Vattene !
“PARIS 5:0 INTER” YEP INTER ARE STRONG, OTHER TEAM WILL LOST 10:0!
