As reported by Opta, Inter’s 5-0 loss against PSG is the single-game final with the highest goal margin between the two teams.
Inter lost 5-0 to PSG in the 2025 Champions League Final on Saturday, finishing the 2024-25 campaign without trophies.
As reported by Opta, the defeat in Munich is the biggest ever loss in a major European tournament.
“In the history of Major European competitions, PSG-Inter is the single-game final with the highest goal margin between the two teams (five goals). Differences,” Opta wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Ex-Inter defender Achraf Hakimi opened the account after just 12 minutes in Munich tonight, and Desiré Doué doubled the score at minute 20.
Ex-Serie A and West Ham striker Paolo Di Canio was highly critical of Inter during the half-time break, saying that the Nerazzurri’s performance had been unacceptable, incomprehensible and intolerable.
However, the second-half performance was perhaps even more disappointing as the Ligue 1 giants scored three more goals, leaving Inter with the biggest loss in a major European final.
Inter will return to the pitch in just a few days, as the Nerazzurri are one of the Serie A clubs representing Serie A in the Club World Cup.

This is the end……beautiful end…..the end.
Milan suck even more so I wouldn’t talk Rosario
Haha 5 – 0
good work Inter 😅
Mike. Milan won a trophy though 🥲
If my team is supposed to lose a final like that, I would prefer to not get there at all. Football is made up of cycles and if you keep losing finals disgracefully like that in your good cycle then it’s a tragedy.
Europa League final – lo5t
2 champions league finals – lo5t to two first time winners 😂😂😂😂
2 times lo5t the title on the final day this decade.
Is daaaaa eeeeeestory of da Inter.
Arsenal of Italia = Inter Milan
if no team has lost by 5 goals in a final before, that means he most anyone has lost by is 4. which men’s 4 is the most any team has won by. As in Milan over Barcelona.
Opposite ends of the spectrum, the city cousins.
Granted, Milan has a poor season, but last season we ended in 2nd, which is where Inter ended this season. let’s see how they recover from a CL final loss in a teophy-less season… After Milan took their Super Coppa away…
Forza Milan. #cardinaleOut.
