Galatasaray have sent a contract offer to Gigio Donnarumma and are ready to negotiate with PSG, but Manchester City are also keeping a close eye on the Italy captain.

Turkish giants Galatasaray have made a big-money offer to Italy star Donnarumma as the goalkeeper’s contract in Paris expires in June 2026.

Talks between Donnarumma and the Ligue 1 giants over a new deal are ongoing, but a gap remains between the two parties. It’s no coincidence that, as reported by L’Équipe, PSG considers Lucas Chevalier of Lille as a possible replacement for Gigio.

Sources with direct knowledge of the matter exclusively inform me that Donnarumma appreciated Galatasaray’s attempt, but is still taking time to decide on his future and hasn’t yet approved a possible move to Turkey.

Galatasaray have also sounded out Manchester City’s Ederson, and the Premier League giants, coached by Pep Guardiola, are a team to follow in the race for Donnarumma.

Manchester City, in fact, are closely monitoring the goalkeeper’s situation in Paris. Even if they have an agreement to re-sign James Trafford from Burnley, the Premier League giants have requested to be informed about future developments.

Some Italian clubs also enquired about Donnarumma in previous months, but are currently not involved in the race.

  1. I really wonder where Galatasaray are finding the money from for Osimhen, Donna (if true) et al. Fine, they are one of the best supported clubs in Turkey, with large sponsors backing them, but Super Lig isn’t a cash cow. Puts Serie A to shame in many respects.
